IV. Health & Wellness

§A. General Guidelines

  1. If you feel sick (even if it feels like just allergies), please reschedule your visit.

  2. If you are getting over an illness, refer to CDC guidelines and visit only after you are no longer contagious nor symptomatic.

  3. If you have been exposed to an illness, postpone your visit by at least 72 hours, and monitor your symptoms.

  4. Under no circumstances should you kiss a child unless you are the child's parent.

  5. Do not share silverware the children. Do not feed the children by hand except with permission from a parent. Do not share any food or drink that has touched your mouth with the children.

§B. Extra Precautions for Infants (< 1 year old)

While there is an infant (defined as a child less than 1 full year of age) living in the house, the following articles are in effect:

  1. If you are not up-to-date on the following vaccinations, please reschedule until you have developed antibodies from these vaccinations (typically 2 weeks):

    • TDAP
    • COVID-19
    • Influenza
    • RSV (if you qualify)
  2. If you have been in a large crowd (e.g. a concert or show) within the last 72 hours, act as though you have been exposed to an illness.

§C. Extra Precautions for Protecting Newborns (< 12 weeks old)

While there is a newborn baby (defined as a child less than 12 full weeks of age) living in the house, the following articles are in effect:

  1. If you have been in a medium-sized crowd (e.g. a bustling mall, a convention or reception, etc.) within the last 48 hours, please wear a mask during your visit.

§D. Extra Precautions for Protecting Pregnant/Post-Partum Mothers and Unborn Babies

While there is a pregnant or post-partum (< 8 full weeks after giving birth) mother living in the house, the following articles are in effect:

  1. All precautions for protecting newborns and infants (IV §B and IV §C) are in effect.
