V. Cleanliness & Hygiene

§A. General Guidelines

  1. Wash your hands after using the bathroom.

  2. Wash your hands as soon as you arrive.

  3. Wash your hands after changing a child's diaper, even if the diaper was empty.

  4. Do not wear your shoes into the house past the tile entryway. Exceptions may be granted for people carrying heavy objects or children in or out.

  5. If you have exposed to any toxic aerosols or powders (i.e. drugs, including cigarettes), take a shower and change into clean clothes before visiting.

  6. If there is a baby in the house, perfumes and other intense fragrances are considered "toxic aerosols" for the purpose of III §A ¶4.

  7. Before flushing a toilet, close its lid.

  8. Only change the children's diapers on their changing stations or on portable changing pads, except with explicit permissino from a parent. Never change a child's diaper on a bed or crib.

§B. Rules for Overnight Guests

  1. Do not sleep on anything that is not covered with a sheet.

  2. Take a shower before sleeping on our furniture.
