# II. Etiquette

|
|
## §A. Imports
|
|
|
|
1. Do not bring food for anyone but yourself without prior approval. Do not bring food containing peanuts or tree nuts under any circumstances.
|
|
|
|
2. Adhere to the following guidelines for bringing gifts:
|
|
- (a) Do not bring gifts for Jim without prior approval from him; in the case of surprises, defer to Codi's judgment.
|
|
- (b) Do not bring gifts for the children without prior approval from a parent.
|
|
|
|
3. Do not bring tomatoes or anything made with tomatoes on the premises.
|
|
|
|
|
|
## §B. Communication
|
|
|
|
1. If someone has communicated their preferred pronouns with you, use them. If said pronouns are neopronouns, you may decline to use them only if you communicate this explicitly and use the person's preferred alternative.
|
|
|
|
2. Contact the homeowners before you visit, and provide the following information:
|
|
- (a) Who is accompanying you
|
|
- (b) Where you are coming from
|
|
- (c) Illnesses or exposures to illnesses in the last 2 weeks
|
|
|
|
3. Do not tone police. You may disagree with an idea someone expresses, but do not criticize the language they use to express it.
|
|
|
|
|
|
## §C. Intoxicants
|
|
|
|
1. Do not smoke anywhere on the premises.
|
|
|
|
2. Do not vape inside the house. If you must vape, do it on the porch, outside of the eyeshot of the children.
|
|
|
|
3. If you are intoxicated on the premises, you must forfeit your keys to the homeowners or a designated driver until it is determined that you are sober.
|
|
|
|
|
|
## §D. Facilities
|
|
|
|
1. Do not help with chores unless you follow established procedures.
|
|
|
